22 Super Fudgy Brownies, Sexaaaayyyy

Okay..so it's Friday, my fav day of the week besides Saturday & Sunday morning. Sunday night not so favourite la coz Monday is looming..hehe..typical right? Anyways, I am so glad that weekend is coming coz this week has been plagued by sickness. Dude recovers quite fast compared to me. Maybe coz his office doesn't resemble a mortuary unlike mine.Sometimes I think I should bring a parka or better still a duvet to wrap myself up at my desk. You know, it's ok if you're not sick. But with a stuffy nose & coughing fit, an office yg seperti esbok is a hazzard u know. Darn the centralised aircon! I went to see David..you know la that doctor who prefers to be called by name instead of Dr. He gave me a new course of antibiotics & hopefully I'll recover fully by end of the week with these new meds. I went home early yesterday albeit the jelingan tajam from the crazy B! Who cares?? She flinched when I coughed macam nak terkeluar anak tekak @ my desk (which is near hers) and she still gave me the look when I went home early yesterday..I thot she'd be happy that I didn't want to pass the germs around rite? but guess not la..Anyway I don't give a horse sh** as I don't even report to her to begin with. And I already got my Envelope..muahhahaha..I will strive to be a pekerja contoh come October onwards as appraisal starts from Nov to Jan..hehe..bagus kan..

I am really watching my food intake as my voice still has the raspy/sengau lilt to it. So nothing heaty, chocolatey, coke-y or the likes..really..I swear..*wink*. But arr..this raspy/sengau lilt sounds so sexayyy!! Everytime I pick up my direct line, people still will go like "Err who's this?" even though they dialed my direct no. and nobody else will pick up the phone if I am not there; they still need to ask..and you know what?muahhahaha..ketawa dulu... I changed my voicemail yesterday so that this machine will pick up the sexaaay voice when people wanna leave a message..hahahah...sah2 buat keje tak berpekdah..sexaaaaaay kunun..puuuiiikkkk!!!!

Anyways, these brownies were made strictly for the kids. Made them last week and this was before I saw the triple yummilicious new chocolate chip cookies n oreo fudge brownies at babe's..really arr this woman, she loves to tempt us with all the sinfully delish stuff..and I swear (not the expletives..hahah..but a promise actually) that I will make them once this coughing fit has ended. But hey..this fudgy brownies (also taken from her blog) is also good, mind u..with the dark choc chips & slices of almonds. Crunchy, fudgy, chocolatey..emmmmm...nice...need I say more.. ;)

Ingredients
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into pieces, plus more for pan - 120g
1 cup all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled) - 130g
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder - i used valrhona
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
8 ounces semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1 1/4 cups sugar - 280g
3 large eggs

Method
Preheat oven to 180C. Brush a 20x20cm baking pan with butter. Line bottom and two sides with a strip of parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on the two sides. Butter paper, and set pan aside. In a small bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; set aside.

Place butter and chocolate in a large heatproof bowl set over (not in) a saucepan of gently simmering water. Heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth, 2 to 3 minutes; remove bowl from pan. Add sugar; mix to combine. Add eggs, and mix to combine. Add flour mixture; mix just until moistened (do not overmix). Transfer batter to prepared pan; smooth top.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached, 50 to 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 30 minutes. Using paper overhang, lift brownies out of pan; transfer to a rack to cool completely (still on paper). On a cutting board, using a dampened serrated knife, cut into 16 squares.
