Some #*^%###$, also known as food pic thief, pic-napped your food pics & re-post it at her blog. Recipe was copied too, but since she copied it direct from your 'Read more', your html got to be published along with the copied recipe. If not, I guessed it's nada!. Sometimes, a recipe is copied from so many sources,having made its round at many fellow bloggers' homes, so sometimes it may be difficult to trace the origin of the recipe..Okay la..that part I cannot control..if you want to put a back link that the recipe was copied from my blog, good for you, if not, I wouldn't get too upset. If you saw the recipe at my blog & decided to put your gang's link since your gang has also tried that recipe & you just want to credit her only, hey..it's fine with me too!, no skin off my nose la as I don't own that recipe. Sometimes people published a posting in a rush and got no time to link the recipe, so they will do it later, if not, whatever la..couldn't be bothered & I won't ruffle my feathers just because of that. But what got me soo darn PISSED OFF & F***ing mad was that, they take the food pics wholesale with not a word that the pics belong to that person's blog. Frankly I find it blardy RUDE! You didn't ask for my permission for my food pic to be taken, so I guess I have the right to be royally pissed. At least, I think it's still forgiveable (but I don't encourage it & I'd rather it didn't happen) if you were to take a person's food pic but a link is clearly indicated in your blog from where the food pic originate. A word of thanks would be nice. Do you know how tiring taking food pics can be? We have to set up the settings, lighting, aperture, tonggeng2 adjusting the lens to get a good angle (being an amateur & all), then we have to upload at our computer, edit, choose a few from amongst the tonnes of photos and then published at our blog ha??? You just take it easy, you pick & choose the pics you fancy & repost them at your blog. Ada aci ka?? As I recall, not a peep from you asking if it's okay to take MY food pics. Hmmm....what??...what's that I hear in the background??..Some naysayers yg jelek saying & I quote" Yek eleh!!! ingat lawa sangat ke food pics dia, nak bising2" Lawa la SAMDOL oiiiii, kalo tak takkan ko nak amik kan!Whaddeblardihek!!
And then just to rub some salt to your 'yek elehhhh..", you got the blardy cheek to post a line or two on your blog that some of the recipes were taken from other people's blog..and hopefully dihalalkan, as it's good to be sharing...blablablablardibla...something to that effect. Laaaaaaa....cik kak oiiiiii, how I wanna halalkan if I didn't know you congkong my food pics until now & that you don't have the common courtesy to ask for permission in the first place! I only found out from the gadget that I install in my blog that the pic was copied..If not, I'll forever be in the dark unless someone else chance upon your blog & let me know kan cik kak. True? BTW, yes...recipes are meant to be shared BUT the food pics are a different matter altogether!
And then what if the food pic she's taken has also a pic of your daughter/son/niece/nephew in the background or posing as models showing 2 thumbs up for your bakes? You wonder again, since when did your daughter/son/niece/nephew become their own daughter/son/niece/nephew? Sedara ka? Tang mana tu sedara? Adakah sedara bau2 kambeng, kobau or just plain bull....sh**? God forbid, if your other half's pic was taken munching your bakes with eyes closed & face crunched in 'ecstacy'? Muahhahaha..that, I believe, will spark another story!
So cik kak, here's some free advise; to copy/congkong somebody's food pics, you do the following:-
1) Write/Email or leave a comment asking for permission to copy which pic.
2) Wait for a reply. If permission is granted, you go ahead & copy. If none granted, no need to beg, cry, 'borrow' or steal okay, you just move your butt away & go ask somebody else with a more LAWA pics, aite?
3) After you copied the pics & repost, below the pics, please state, where you copied the pic or who grant you the permission:-
Example : Picture courtesy of 'http://yek-eleh-ingat-lawa-sgt-ke-gambar-dia.blogspot.com/2012/02/foodpickenacongkong.html'
4) To halalkan a pic, that person has to know that her food picture(s) has been congkong-ed okay. If we don't know abt it....welll...U know what I'm sayin'?
See, how easy it is cik kak? As easy as 1,2,3 & 4!! Comprende? Capito? Forstå? zu verstehen? ymmärtää? Ada paham??

Salam Yat, Kak Ros tengah berdebar ni sebab yat tengah marah org coppy paste resepi.kak ros ada buat tayangan brownies dari resepi yat, tapi masa tayang hari tu tak leh nak masuk tempat komen blog yat untuk tinggal pesan.Ya ampun kalau kak ros dah buat salah ya.

What I am SO ROYALLY PISSED is tang GAMBAR.. Cannot curi gambar blog without permission..that is my concern sebab gambar adalah my own..and mine only..cantek ke tak is a different story..tapi tu hakmilik kita..

Deletei try to tell them straight off just in case their small brain cannot capture the essence of this post..I know many bloggers pics have become mangsa curi. But sometimes our patience have its limit too kan. Tak boleh tahan, just have to let it out! I know some poeple love to copy recipes with picture so that they know how the bakes will turn out..if their cake is it the same or a bit off or whatever la..the thing is if you wanna do that, you can save the recipe & pics in your own folder and that way you can refer when the time comes for trying that recipe. They cannot just short cut & curi other people's pics and post it at their own blog..as if they bake that cakes themselves..tipu kan like that!
wahh yat, panas betul entri hari ni.. yat pun tengah panas ni gak kan.. sabo yat.. take a deep breath.. k.nor faham sgt2 apa yg yat rasa, sbb k.nor kan dah banyak kali terkena gak :)

DeleteI feel your frustrations. There are two blogs that stole the whole content of my blog since 2006. Complaint kat blogspot pun tak guna. In the end I gave up. Orang macam ni memang tak faham faham. Like you said, we put a lot effort into every post from writting the recipe to taking pictures. Dia orang senang senang copy and paste kat their blog :(

Frankly, being an amateur (in both cooking and photography) things can be very challenging. That is why, I always post pics that I have personally taken (no matter how ugly they are! hehe!) At least I can claim they are mine!

Babe, I understand how u feel pasal tu I marah jugak. Mmg susah kan nak amik gambar of the foods. Kadang2 mmg jeles bila org lain punya gambar and the outcome of their food nampak lagi cantik drpd apa yg kita buat. Whatever the outcome is, its our hardwork. Kadang2 I amik gambar sampai berpeluh2, jadi I tau what u go thru. Lagi2 u a fulltime WM....kesian tau. Jadi I mmg tak sukalah malaun2 mcm gini raarrrwwwrrr!!!

If only they know how difficult it is to ambik gambar, even gambar yang they say tak cantik and tak lawa. For us, dah cukup lawa lah kan, tu pasal diaorang curi.
Kesian kat you, kalau I jadi you pun, memang tak kan maafkan them.

Dah a few times I kena, sometimes lodging a complain with blogger works..some yg tak makan saman yg buat darah I boil..I feel the need to vent up my frustrations where else but here. And maybe dia orang tak sekolah that's why tak reti bahasa!

Wlpn mula2 dia tanya itu ini pasal resepi that recipe & kita explain ..tup2 bila dah buat, dia link kat gang dia..pun akak redha..cebahhhh hahhaha..since that recipe isn't mine to begin with kan..tapi pat gambar tu yg ada sensitip sket arr..

DeleteMany times I've been sighing too on this matter and semalam the blood just boiled over, hence the post.Like I said kalo nak taw how the bakes will look like for a particular recipe either you put the pic in a folder for reference or you bookmark that particular recipe so that you can ulang alik pi tgk gambar kat umah org tu..hehe..just like when I tried some of yr recipes, I sepuluh kali ulang alik yr house, tgk recipe or tgk gambar..even though sometimes, my bakes tak berapa sama kita letak jugak gambar kita kan, coz that is our effort, cake terhangus sket or jello terlembik sket pun still the pics go up..ntahla babe, I rasa saper yg dah terkena pasti understand the frustrations! Sometimes i feel like jotos2 jer pencuri2 ni!

Like you said photos kan kira personal to show our effort & it;s not easy to just point & shoot..mesti kita letak some effort there kan..the thieves ni sumer amik jalan mudah by congkong-ing what belongs to other people for whatever the reason la..which I cannot accept.
