6 Chicken Curry with Roti Jala aka Roti berkirai2


Roti Jala yang berkirai-kirai sekali !!!

Dengan harapan yang menggunung tinggi, I started my kirai straight after reaching home from work this evening..Stomach already started grumbling a lil' bit as I had so little lunch today as I was rushing for deadline before the long holidays.. A word of advise (for myself)..Do not kirai when you want food fast as it's  a tad consuming to kirai the pieces & then roll them...Then you have to make the whole batch for everyone...terketar tangan meng-control itu kirai botol..menahan lapar yang after 30 minutes have escalated to extreme hunger..muah ha ha..

Anyways, I really dont know how to kirai nicely. The 'squares' are big and not nice at all & hence the long shot pic ;)..If I were to catch fish in this kirai, definitely the fish gonna fall back into the sea through the big 'holes' in the kirai..ngeh 3x!!! Haiz!!! keras betul tangan ni! sad...sad...anyways..as long as I get to eat, it's ok la..The rest pon makan dengan lajunya..bukan apa...coz dinner a bit late tonite la..so everybody hungry already ;), they dont care too much about the shape, colour or what not..

Recipe is courtesy of the yummy baker BisousAToi..So kind of her to pass it to me..thanks babe...dah tertunai my hajat nak makan ni roti jala albeit  berkirai-kirai..recipe pon chicken feed jer, pat nak kirai yg tension for me..others, close 1 eye pon can produce a beautiful kirai....tak per la..asal sedap & boleh makan..

Recipe:-

In a blender, blend 500g flour (tak cukup all purpose, aku memandai2 add HK flour), 2 eggs, 1 t salt, 200ml coconut milk & about 600ml water & colouring...Blend till smooth and kirai according to the flexibility of yr hands ;)

Curry chicken recipe, I think everybody knows lah...malas nak tulis coz sedih terkenangkan roti yang tak pass piawaian berkirai...

  1. salam yat. eh you ni suermumlah. balik dari kerja sempat lagi buat roti jala danchicken curry. kalau mak cik masa kerja dulu jari je yg masak, lagi hebatkan..he..he.. pergi kedai makan pakai tunjuk2 de.hebat...hebat..

  2. salam yat, betul tu mengirai roti jala ni memang makan masa..kalau nak buat lain kali jangan lepas kerja..hehehe..tunggu weekends ler..

    ...lucky me last time balik kerja tau makan aje sebab my mum dah siap masak kan..hehe itupun kalau if my mum not around, my hubby kena tunggu I habis masak pukul 10 malam baru dapat makan..terok kan...and imagine lauk yang I masak simple sangat2..hehehe..

    First time mengirai memang gitu.. Rasa macam like a never ending story nak finish up the batter.. Lagi lagi if perut tengah krak krup.. Mengirai pun jadi tak senonoh hehe.. Tak pe.. Cuba lagi ok.. A pointer.. When kirai buat macam flower.. Round round n don't kirai up n down.. Hope that helps..

    Memang pon ..next time I'll wait for weekend to do the kirai & must be lepas perut dah beralas...kalau tak, ni lah jadi nya...muah ha ha..

    Dulu masa my MIl ada kat my place..best jugak, balik office, dinner selalu lauk best2..lagi2 lauk pauk yg she thinks her menantu jarang benar masak (yg leceh2 punya...which are a lot lah!!!)

    You're rite abt the hungry stomach part...my hands were shivering already half way through the batter...rasa mcm nak 'ngap' jer apa yg dah ready..

    OK next time I try round round & not up down & HOPEFULLY it resembles the real roti kirai..ha ha...

    BTW, I dah try tau the yoghurt steam cake yg you made the other time...sedap...we liked it so much over here;)
